Meals

Seats

Infants

• If you're flying with a little one under 2, they can travel on your lap or in their own seat with a child fare and proper restraint. One adult can fly with one infant. Travelling with twins or two under-twos? You’ll need a second adult on the booking.
• You can bring a baby bag (up to 5 kg), a foldable pram, and a car seat as part of your baggage. Cabin bassinets aren’t available, so if it’s a long flight, plan for lap travel or secure their seat early.
• For newborns, timing matters. Babies under 9 days old can’t fly.

Children

• Children aged 2 to 11 need their own seat and must travel with someone aged 18 or older. Batik Air has an Unaccompanied Minor (ages 5-12) service, and Young Passenger Travelling Alone (12-16).
• Special meals for children aren’t guaranteed, but they’re sometimes available on longer international flights. It’s best to check during booking if that’s something you’ll need.

Pregnant passengers

• If you're up to 28 weeks pregnant, a release and indemnity form is needed. From 28 to 35 weeks, you’ll need a certificate from your doctor confirming you're fit to fly. It must be signed within seven days of your flight.
• After 35 weeks, flying isn’t allowed. If you're expecting twins or more, the cut-off is 32 weeks. No matter the stage, it’s always a good idea to check in with your doctor before booking - especially if you're flying long haul.

Accessibility and special assistance

• If you need a wheelchair at the airport or help getting to and from the aircraft, Batik Air can arrange it. Just be aware that in some regions, a service fee may apply depending on where you're flying from and how long the flight is.
• Mobility aids like crutches, walkers and personal wheelchairs are usually welcome right up to the gate and travel free of charge. Not all aircraft are equipped with aisle chairs or accessible toilets, especially on shorter routes, so it’s best to ask ahead.
• If you’re flying with a medical device like a CPAP machine, or if you’ll need oxygen or a stretcher, let the airline know early. You’ll need to submit a medical clearance form in advance.
• Some conditions may also require clearance—this includes recent surgery, certain illnesses or situations where you may need medical support on board. If in doubt, speak to your doctor and flag it with the airline before booking.

Service animals

• Guide dogs and assistance dogs may be accepted in the cabin on some routes, as long as you’ve submitted the right documents and given the airline notice. They’ll need to stay harnessed and can’t block the aisle.
• Pets and emotional support animals aren’t allowed in the cabin on international flights.

Refund policy
